KCCA FC won 3-1 over Onduparaka FC to sail through to the Pilsner Super8 final in an encounter played at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.
Musa Ramathan gave KCCA an early lead and later a brace from the skipper of the day Allan Okello sealed it for the inaugural Super8 winners.
Bashir Bheto pulled a consolation for Onduparaka seven minutes after recess but Okello stretched KCCA’s lead from a 25-yard free-kick that pierced through the defence wall into the back of the net.
Musa almost doubled the lead but Onduparaka’s goalie Baker Yunus was the difference for the biggest spell of the opening 45 minutes.
Debutant John Revita picked teenager Sadat Anaku from over 50 yards but the youngster spewed his chance wide.
Another debutant Simon Serunkuma made the right wing his own with mazy runs and dashing inside at his will. The debutante’s best chance came in the 37th minute when he dribbled past four defenders and passed to Lawrence Bukenya whose shot went over the bar. The midfielder later got cautioned at the stroke of halftime.
Mike Mutyaba picked a loose ball from the midfield and rattled the wood work with a fierce shot from 20 yards. The forward later gave way to new signing Erisa Sekisambu.
Eight minutes from time, Okello almost scored a similar free-kick to the one he struck earlier but Onduparaka goalie Baker parried the ball over.
Okello won the Pilsner Man Of the match Gong for his display on the day.
The KCCA performance on the day assured the Lugogo of a final place against Vipers SC on August 25 at a venue yet to be communicated.
