Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic the decision was made to host the Vitality Netball Superleague behind closed doors across two venues this season, to enable strict and consistent COVID-19 protocols to be in place for all games, supported by an extensive season-long testing programme across the league. The season will got underway at Studio 001 in Wakefield for the first nine weeks and will move to the Copper Box Arena in London for the remaining fixtures.

The 2021 Vitality Netball Superleague signing window officially closed and teams were permitted to sign 10 registered players and five training partners during the signing window.

Each club must submit nine players who fit within the league’s salary caps rules, they can register one additional marquee player who sits outside of the salary cap. They can also register up to five training partners. These players must fit within the training partner salary rules.

Franchises can select any of the 15 registered players for fixtures throughout the season. Each side is also allowed to register two non-EU players. However, these players cannot play in the same third of the court at the same time in any game.
