Uganda`s Capital is so honored for having chanced to host the 4th edition of The Arsenal Africa Fan’s Festival which will have Arsenal FC supporters from across the African continent scheduled to take place from 7th to 10th April 2023 at Infinity Lounge, Ntinda -Kampala rooftop where all Arsenal fans will be meeting for a greet on April 7,April 8, will be an Arsenal viewing event where revellers will go to do charity work in Ggaba, Makindye and have a sports gala as well.
“We shall also do a zebra crossing around schools in Ggaba. We shall be marking Ggaba because it is hosted by one of our own Sendi Mosh, the overall organiser. We shall also be cleaning markets around the shores of Lake Victoria,” Charles Mutabazi Ndyomugyenzi, the Arsenal fans group co-ordinator, revealed.
He also added that “The final day will be celebrated in Entebbe. That is where we shall be having a beach party and exchange cultural privileges through a get together.”
This festival sparked off in 2016 with their main aim of strengthening the relationship and support they have for their club Arsenal FC who play in the English Premier League. It has been happening in Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana , South Africa and Uganda was awarded a chance to host the 2019 edition but due to the COVID 19 pandemic, it was halted hence being postponed to 2023.
Arsenal was the first club from the South of England to join The Football League, in 1893, and they reached the First Division in 1904. Relegated only once, in 1913, they continue the longest streak in the top division, and have won the second-most top-flight matches in English football history.
It is the most supported football club in Africa and particularly Uganda with celebrity supporters like Bebe Cool, former AIGP Asani Kasingye among others
Arsenal is one of England’s most successful clubs after winning a record 14 FA Cups and is currently managed by Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners boast one of the most exciting teams in the world appreciation to the talents of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli ,Robert Pires, Liam Brady ,Brian Talbot and captain Martin Odegaard among others.
